not even a fork in the sink!

If I could do anything significant this week, I would keep my kitchen clean. My kitchen would resemble those raised by folk who felt even a fork in the sink was a sign you didn’t do your chores. There is an odd feeling of accomplishment that comes with keeping a clean kitchen consistently.

If I could accomplish anything this week, I would stay hydrated. The colder weather makes It harder to sip water every hour. So, more water-rich foods are my priority.

If I could love anything more this week, I would love the quiet moments alone; I would fill the space and time I share with others with fewer words and more listening. There would be more savoring the love of a friend or the last of a quick kiss from my love.

If I could bring a lesson from last week to this one, It would be to feel your feelings. Release your feelings. Alchemize your emotions and create intentional joy where you are now. Not tomorrow, not next year, or this weekend, but now.

If I could look back at this week, I would be most proud of myself if I finished cleaning my garden’s salad and pepper section and finished organizing my winter closet.

Whatever may come. I am grateful for a new week and gently reminding myself to take today slow. Because to me, this moment is all I truly own.
